Starting this summer, several 2015 GMC models will begin offering OnStar 4G LTE technology via a personal Wi-Fi hotspot, and the first vehicle to feature the special technology will be the Terrain, as well as its upscale brother, the Terrain Denali. The Wi-Fi spots are pretty powerful, too; they’ll be able to support up to seven devices at the same time.
“This technology is a great feature for all of our customers,” said Duncan Aldred, U.S. vice president of Buick and GMC. “From those who use their Sierra or Yukon as a mobile office, to the families taking trips in any of our vehicles, they can enjoy the benefits of 4G LTE for work or play.”
The Terrain will be followed by vehicles like the Sierra, Sierra HD, Yukon and Yukon XL, and even the Canyon, GMC’s all-new mid-size truck. With this technology, you’ll be able to download movies, send emails, play games, and even use special OnStar apps like Famigo and TumblebooksTV. When you add these technological advantages to GMC’s already excellent reputation for excellence and reliability, you’ve got one awesome lineup. So come by Hutch Chevrolet Buick GMC soon to check these tech-savvy trucks and SUVs very soon.
