The Canyon Denali will continue in the same tradition as other Denali models with a unique chrome grille and unique wheels, 20-inch ultra-bright-machined aluminum wheels with painted accents. It will also distinguish itself with chrome fog lamp bezels, five-inch-diameter rectangular chrome assist steps, a polished exhaust tip, and a standard spray-in bed liner.

We cannot wait for the 2016 GMC Sierra to grace our lot!

We cannot wait for the 2016 GMC Sierra to grace our lot!

Speculation has run wild for the past year as to how the new take on the GMC Sierra would look. Just on the heels of its best June sales in nine years for the pickup—and its 12th straight month of year-over-year sales increases—GMC put that speculation to bed by revealing the new-look 2016 GMC Sierra.

GMC certainly did a beautiful job with the exterior of the Sierra, updating the face of its best-selling truck to add LED “C-shaped” daytime running lights and headlights; a new grille at each trim level; new bumper, and new fog lamps. In the rear, the Sierra will also receive C-shaped taillights and a new rear bumper.

Apart from these tidbits and some tantalizing images, GMC isn’t letting on about what else will grace the 2016 Sierra. It has been confirmed that the Sierra will be released sometime in the fourth quarter of this year, adding that more information will follow in the months ahead.

We here at Hutch Chevrolet Buick GMC of Paintsville, KY can’t wait to share, so be sure to watch this space for the latest updates!

GMC Receives Wide Variety of Awards at NYIAS

2014 Acadia Earned one of Many GMC Awards at NYIASAt auto shows, it’s usually the manufacturers who are giving things out to industry experts and enthusiasts—releasing new information, unveiling exciting concept vehicles, and even displaying new production models. However, this year at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS), it’s the experts who are giving back to the manufacturers—especially GMC. The auto giant received three different awards at NYIAS in the Big Apple on April 16, each of them from different and authoritative voices in the auto industry.

The GMC brand itself was named “Most Refined Brand” in the 2014 Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Awards. As for specific vehicles, the 2015 GMC Canyon earned the distinction of AutoTrader.com’s 2014 Must Test Drive vehicle, while the 2014 Acadia was named “2014 Most Popular among Large Crossover SUVs” by Edmunds.com.

“Recognition from respected third-party organizations validates our momentum with customers, and we look forward to building on that success at GMC,” said Duncan Aldred, U.S. vice president of Buick and GMC.

Aldred was on hand in NYC to accept each of the awards. Experts at KBB said that the improvements to the Denali trims of GMC’s full-size pickups and SUVs specifically helped the brand earn the rank of “Most Refined Brand.” We’ve got a variety of Denali trims in stock here at Hutch Chevrolet Buick GMC, so come see us today to check out those or any other vehicles in our award-winning lineup!

GMC Yukon Erases Stereotype of the Loud Family SUV

2015 GMC Yukon Redefines the Quiet CabinGMC left no conceptual stone unturned when it came to redesigning the Yukon for 2015. When the brand claims that every single aspect of the GMC Yukon is updated and improved for the next generation, it’s no exaggeration. The results are incredible: the Yukon comes with a more modern design, a more comfortable interior, and vastly improved fuel efficiency. But there’s another aspect to the new SUV that’s maybe even more appealing to families: its silence.

Premium materials and special engineering allow the Yukon to subvert the stereotype of the loud, hulking family SUV. Michell Shippy, a performance engineer for noise, vibration, and wind noise, explained the philosophy behind the new design.

“Having two young kids that never sleep through the night, I have a strong desire to enjoy peace and quiet on my commute,” Shippy told GMC’s newsroom. “That also helps give me a sharp ear to hone in on the fine details. We’ve made extensive improvements on the new Yukon and the interior quietness is a feature noticeable enough to grab your attention.”

Shippy proclaims the success of the new GMC Yukon with this simple conclusion: “The Yukon is truly a pleasure to drive.” We don’t see why you should just take his word for it, though; come down to Hutch Chevrolet Buick GMC and take the 2015 GMC Yukon for a quiet ride yourself!

Denali Trim Boosts GMC Sales Numbers

In 1999, GMC introduced the Denali trim: a solution for those customers wanting to take a step up to the next level of luxury. It’s been 15 years since its creation, and the Denali trim continues to deliver a first-rate driver and passenger experience for GMC customers – so much so, that Denali has essentially become a sub-brand as recognizable as GMC itself.

Experience Luxury with GMC's Denali TrimWhen 2013 wrapped up, GMC sales had increased compared to the previous year by 9 percent. What’s interesting about this is the fact that Denali-specific sales increased by over double that amount in 2013, up 20 percent.

Currently, GMC offers the Denali trim for the Terrain, Acadia, Yukon, Yukon XL, and Sierra. Some of the distinguishing features of the Denali lineup include the signature chrome grill, interior wood-grain accents, and advanced power, technology, and performance.

Find out why the Denali trim continues to boost GMC sales numbers and has made a name for itself all its own. Schedule a test drive today!

Already an excellent vehicle, GMC has improved basically every aspect of the Yukon for 2015, adding more power, capability, technology, and even more premium interior materials and features.

First there are the new EcoTec3 engines, which, as necessitated by today’s customer needs, add both power and efficiency to the 2015 Yukon lineup. In the baseline Yukon and the Yukon XL, you’ll find the 5.3L V8 engine, but you can also upgrade to the 6.2L EcoTec3 in the deluxe Yukon Denali model, GMC’s flagship utility vehicle.

New-Gen Heavy Duty Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra

Chevy Silverado HDAccording to USA Today, GM has released the 2015 heavy-duty big brothers of the current generation pickup trucks and announced their market debut dates for the beginning of next year. The full-size versions of the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra are equivalent to approximately 25% of the iconic truck models’ overall sales.

The heavy-duty Silverado and Sierra were unveiled yesterday at the Texas State Fair. The heavy-duty Chevy Silverado sported bolder lines and a bulkier exterior, but its aerodynamic quality has been improved to allow for better highway mileage.

Naturally, we expect both the HD Silverado and GMC Sierra to have enhanced hauling capabilities, more muscle-bound exterior sculpting, and luxury options, while maintaining a noticeable resemblance to their little brother standard duty pickups.
