2014 Buick LaCrosse Earns 5-Stars for Safety

2014 Buick LaCrosseHere at Hutch Chevrolet Buick GMC, we know how much you and your family value safety. We are proud to provide you with that key component in our quality vehicles. The newly redesigned 2014 Buick LaCrosse was recently awarded a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score for safety by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration  (NHTSA).

“Safety is one of the pillars of the Buick brand and our flagship continues to echo this essential element to our customers,” said LaCrosse chief engineer, Jeff Yanssens. “Not only do we offer advanced safety technologies in the 2014 LaCrosse, but we designed and engineered the core of the car to perform well with respect to crash safety.”

Alongside its crashworthiness, the 2014 Buick LaCrosse incorporates advanced safety technologies to help avoid collisions in the first place.

The Safety Alert Seat advises drivers of a potential crash by sending pulses through the seat warning of the direction of a threat.

Forward Collision Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, and Lane Departure Warning are just a few of the safety features the LaCrosse’s camera and radar sensor system use to keep drivers aware of their surroundings and possible accidents.

With technology like this, the 2014 Buick LaCrosse helps prepare you for potentially dangerous obstacles in your path. But just in case an accident does occur, Buick engineers built a vehicle designed, at its core, to keep you and your family safe. It deserves each and every one of those five stars.

Chevrolet Sweeps Competition to Win Autoweek’s Best of the Best

2014 Corvette Stingray Wins Autoweek's Best of the Best Car AwardWhen Autoweek conducted their annual search for the Best of the Best Car and Truck for 2014, they came to Chevrolet; and in an unprecedented move, Chevrolet swept the awards for both categories of Autoweek‘s Best of the Best titles.

The 2014 Corvette Stingray received the Best of the Best/Car award, and the 2014 Chevy Silverado took home the title of Best of the Best/Truck.

2014 Silverado Named Autoweek's Best of the Best TruckAutoweek defines a car as any sedan, coupe, hatchback, convertible, or wagon. The truck category includes pickups, crossovers, SUVs, and minivans.

Autoweek thoroughly tested hundreds of new and significantly modified vehicles to find the best in performance, economy, style, and reliability among other categories.

The staff drove the vehicles around the track, through the streets of Detroit, and even on vacation. The Autoweek staff on the West Coast tested the same vehicles on the terrain on their side of the country and added their experiences to the evaluation.

From AutoWeek’s write up on the Stingray: “The Chevy got high marks for its flexible engine—‘monster torque,’ wrote one staffer—great brakes, and rock-solid chassis and handling. ‘There’s an eagerness here that a Corvette’s never had,’ said one tester. Other logbook comments included ‘amazing agility,’ ‘the engine is wonderful’ and ‘jeez-o-pete, this car has NO body roll.’”

When all was said in done, Autoweek declared Chevrolet’s 2014 Corvette Stingray and 2014 Silverado “the Best of the Best, pure and simple.”

Here at Hutch Chevrolet Buick GMC, we are proud to officially offer you Autoweek‘s Best of the Best, nationally recognized vehicles known for excellence and superior performance.

Chevrolet Gifts Truck Lovers with 2015 Chevy Colorado

2015 Chevy Colorado: Chevrolet's Perfect Gift for Truck LoversChevrolet has a gift for you: a well-rounded, truck portfolio with three dynamic options. The newest to this lineup is the 2015 Chevy Colorado, which debuted at the LA Auto Show last month.

The Colorado was specifically designed to meet the needs of North American truck lovers. Its launch into the mid-size pickup segment bridges the gap previously unmet by light- and heavy-duty full-size trucks. It will “leave the competition in the dust far behind.”

When production begins on the Colorado in 2014, customers will be able to choose either the 2.5-liter I-4 engine, which comes standard, or the 3.6-liter V6 engine for increased power.

In its second model year, Chevrolet plans to make a Duramax 2.8-liter I-4 turbodiesel engine available. This diesel engine option will be the first in its segment.

The Colorado is also expected to lead its class in towing capacity with the ability to haul over 6,700 pounds.

While the 2015 Colorado is designed for adventures on the job and off the clock, it incorporates advanced technology to keep passengers safe as well. Forward collision alert and lane departure warning, technologies never before seen in the mid-size segment, are just two of a host of the truck’s features.

Chevrolet’s engineers worked to provide truck lovers like us the opportunity to choose the perfect pickup for our lifestyles. At Hutch Chevrolet Buick GMC, we’re pretty sure the 2015 Chevy Colorado is one gift for which you won’t need a gift receipt.
