Chevrolet Trax is taking to Detroit in the new ad!
As the main location for many big-name automakers, Detroit is known for being the city of cars. Today, Chevrolet has taken advantage of this reputation by introducing the brand new Trax, using some Greater Detroit hot spots as a backdrop.
The Chevrolet Trax is the American carmaker’s newest addition to its lineup. As a small, sporty SUV with a 167.2-inch body, the Trax is agile enough to move through urban streets with ease, while still providing the cargo space and leg room needed to sit passengers comfortably. This new SUV will be specifically geared toward those with urban commutes, who also are looking for a family vehicle to haul the children around town.
Among the hot spots visited in the new Trax ad is Michigan Avenue, one of the most well-known streets in Detroit. The small SUV was also spotted near Shinola custom watchmaker, driving on Belle Isle, and in Campus Martius.
The Trax will go on sale in January 2015. To get more information on the new Chevrolet Trax, stop in to Hutch Chevrolet today!
Colorado and Canyon boast segment-leading fuel economy! The GMC Canyon is pictured here.
When you think of the pickup truck segment, it’s likely the first word that comes to mind isn’t fuel-efficient—until now! General Motors recently announced the fuel economy for the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon, and they are more impressive than their powerful engines! They boast segment-leading fuel economy!
For the V6 midsize pickup trucks with automatic transmissions, the Colorado and Canyon offer 3 to 5 mpg better than competitors’ fuel economies, making both pickups segment leaders. With a 305-horsepower V6, the two pickups get an estimated 21 mpg combined with two-wheel-drive and 20 combined with four-wheel-drive.
“Colorado offers some of the best EPA fuel economy estimates of any pickup in a fun-to-drive easy-to-own package,” said Tony Johnson, Colorado marketing manager. The all-new Canyon also offers this great fuel economy with other innovations, including active grille shutters and an aerodynamic design.
These two fuel-efficient pickup trucks will go on sale this fall, so make sure you keep an eye on Hutch Chevrolet’s lot for their arrival!
Although the Chevrolet Equinox hasn’t seen a new generation since 2009, the best-selling Chevy SUV shows no signs of slowed sales. In fact, demand for the full-size SUV has been on the rise every year since its introduction, with a staggering 37 percent year-over year growth from 2013 to 2014.
Not only is the Chevy Equinox bringing in an array of new buyers, but Equinox lovers are returning for round two – purchasing a newer version of the SUV that’s become a part of their family. GM Authority points out that 27 percent of Equinox owners trade their SUV in for a newer model.
Part of consumers’ attraction to the Equinox is its competitive price. The relatively low $23,815 starting price makes it a practical option for many people. Because the Equinox is also jam-packed with features and available options, the SUV is a good value for the money. Although the Equinox has a lower starting-point than many of its competitors, don’t let that fool you – it’s both reliable and durable.

“What gives a vehicle staying power is trust,” explained Edmunds analyst Jessica Caldwell. “Vehicles that are top sellers despite their age are nameplates that car shoppers can trust to have good quality, durability and reliability. They aren’t designed with the latest fad in mind – they are vehicles that are tested over time and have proven to be good products.”
Chevy Equinox sales are expected to top 200,000 units for the third year in a row, and remains a top-seller in many Chevy dealerships. Stop by Hutch Chevrolet today to test drive an Equinox!
